Client: Lucey Transport Logistics
Lucey Transport Logistics is one of Ireland’s biggest logistics companies, moving 3 million pallets a year from a network of warehouses spanning the country. With 130 artic-rigid trucks and 450 trailers, they manage distribution for companies such as Cadburys, Smurfit-Kappa, and Bulmers.
Works
In 2017 Lucey commissioned a new high bay warehouse exclusively to manage distribution in Ireland for Britvic Beverages (7up, Ballygowan, Pepsi, Club).
CSS Signs were asked to provide a proposal for the Health and Safety signage for the new warehouse and yard. We surveyed the site over a few visits as the construction progressed, with the company’s health, safety and compliance advisor and the construction project manager.
As some of the main external signs were multi-message, our first task was to provide templates to show how the primary H&S messages would be conveyed, while effectively incorporating the Lucey brand. Once agreement was reached on this, we quickly moved to providing proofs of the full range of signs. As well as Health and Safety signs, there were directional and information signs to designate office and stores facilities. To improve visibility for truckdrivers, the external loading bay signs were finished using Class 1 reflective vinyls.
